French Open: Task 3
The weather was beautiful when I got up in the morning, and Mont Blanc was towering nicely above the clouds. The forecast was perfect, with little wind from the southwest and a cloud base at 2800m.
The task was set to 110 km, visiting four valleys and crossing a couple of mountain ranges. There were long glides, many pilots made it to goal, and it was just a perfect competition day. Sadly, there was one accident, and the pilot is in the hospital in bad shape.
In the evening, we had food trucks at the takeoff with live music and a nice sunset. The forecast for Friday and Saturday predicts rain, so I doubt there will be any more tasks.

Das Wetter war schön, als ich am Morgen aufstand, und der Mont Blanc thronte majestätisch über den Wolken. Die Wettervorhersage war perfekt, mit wenig Wind aus Südwest und einer Wolkenbasis auf 2800 m.
Die Aufgabe war auf 110 km festgelegt und führte durch vier Täler und über einige Gebirgsketten. Es gab lange Gleitflüge, viele Piloten erreichten das Ziel, und es war einfach ein perfekter Wettkampftag. Leider gab es einen Unfall, und der Pilot liegt im Krankenhaus in schlechtem Zustand.
Am Abend hatten wir Foodtrucks am Startplatz mit Live-Musik und einem schönen Sonnenuntergang. Für Freitag und Samstag ist Regen vorhergesagt, daher bezweifle ich, dass es noch weitere Tasks geben wird.
