Today, we had a 91 km task, and I still cannot believe how good the day turned out. I got up at 7 am, and it was raining, with the entire campsite flooded. I checked the weather forecast, and it was very bad for the site here in Passy.

At 10:30 am, they moved 120 pilots to Annecy (Launch Semnoz), where the sky was much better. By 2 pm, we had perfect weather with very good thermals.

The start was at 3:45 pm, and the deadline was at 8 pm. I launched 17 minutes before the start and climbed a little too high. To get the SSS, I had to fly around a cloud and lost nearly the entire field. I was able to catch up quite a bit, but the leading gaggle was gone. I ended up in 46th position.

Congrats to the organizers, and I'm looking forward to more tasks in this beautiful area.

Heute hatten wir eine 91 km Aufgabe, und ich kann immer noch nicht glauben, wie gut der Tag geworden ist. Ich bin um 7 Uhr aufgestanden, und es hat geregnet, der ganze Campingplatz war überflutet. Der Wetterbericht für Passy war schlecht für den ganzen Tag.

Um 10:30 Uhr sind wir nach Annecy (Startplatz: Semnoz) verlegt worden, wo der Himmel viel besser war. Ab 14 Uhr hatten wir perfektes Wetter mit super Thermik.

Der Start war um 15:45 Uhr, und die Deadline war um 20 Uhr. Ich startete 17 Minuten vor der SSS und stieg ein wenig zu hoch! :( Um die SSS zu erreichen, musste ich um eine Wolke herumfliegen und verlor fast das ganze Feld. Ich konnte ziemlich gut aufholen, aber die führende Gruppe war weg. Am Ende landete ich auf dem 46. Platz.

Glückwunsch an die Organisatoren, und ich freue mich auf weitere Tasks hier in dieser schönen Gegend.
