Die Prognose war gar nicht mal so schlecht für den Dienstag (potenzielle Distanz von 451km), deshalb haben wir wieder einen Angriff gewagt. Leider ging es nicht besonders früh los, doch um 7 Uhr war dann dafür die Thermik einigermassen zuverlässig. Mit deutlichem Ostwind (ideal wäre SW) ging es los auf für mich unbekanntem und spannendem Kurs. Am Anfang hatte es noch sehr viele Wolken, dann wurde es ab km 100 deutlich trockener. Leider musste Dino schon bald landen und Rico kam beim ersten Versuch nicht weg und musste einen Restart machen etwas später. Für Yael, Dominic und mich lief es aber einigermassen gut und wir konnten schön vor der abtrocknenden Luftmasse nach Westen fliegen. Das ging relativ gut, bis dann auch bei uns die Thermik merklich bockiger wurde und der Rückenwind aussetzte nach 250km. Nach einer langen Gleitpassage hat Yael die rettende Thermik leider nicht mehr erwischt und musste landen. Für Dominic und mich ging es weiter, zum Teil mit 60km/h im Vollgas… Aber egal, unser Ziel war es, bis in den Sonnenuntergang zu fliegen. Am Schluss des Fluges ging es über ziemlich verlassene Gegenden und eine Aussenlandung wäre vermutlich mit ziemlich langen Fussmärschen verbunden gewesen. Zum Glück waren wir hoch genug und konnten am Schluss nach Sonnenuntergang und 450km an der Hautstrasse landen. Rico hat es auf einer etwas nördlichen Route auch noch auf 328km geschafft.
Heute waren Dominic und ich auf der Heimreise. Währenddessen haben die anderen Schweizer einen weiteren Versuch gestartet. Doch leider war das Wetter am 9 Uhr mega stabil und alle sind landen gegangen (freiwillig und unfreiwillig).

But no matter, our goal was to fly into the sunset. At the end of the flight we went over quite deserted areas and an outlanding would probably have involved quite a long walk. Fortunately we were high enough and could land at the end after sunset and 450km at the main road. Rico also made it to 328km on a slightly more northerly route.
Today Dominic and I were on our way home. Meanwhile the other Swiss started another attempt. But unfortunately the weather was mega stable at 9am and all went to land (voluntarily and involuntarily).
