Swiss Cup flex: Abgesagt.

Das Wetter ist weiterhin allgemein tiefdruckbestimmt, die Prognosen sind sehr !! unsicher. Selbst Freitag Abend kann nicht definiert werden, wann und wo es am Samstag regnet…
An beiden Tagen herrscht in der Höhe SW-Wind, was föhnige Aufhellungen machen dürfte, aber in der unteren Luftschicht wird feuchte Luft an die Alpen geführt.

Mit der aktuellen Prognose (aktuell, heute 20 Uhr…) könnte ich mir eine gewisse Chance für einen Flug am Samstag im Prättigau vorstellen, der SW-Wind auf 2500 ist aber mit 25 kmh zu stark für einen Task. Im BEO ist der Wind ebenfalls zu stark, zusätzlich viele Wolken.

Am Sontag wieder das selbe, mit einer Gewitterfront, die etwa um 15 Uhr über das BEO zieht (heftige Gewitter!). Im Prättigau wieder am besten, aber die Chance für einen Task ist klein.

Deswegen - es tut mir leid - ist das Weekend abgesagt. Wir können nicht am Abend erst mitteilen, ob und wo wir am nächsten Tag einen Lauf versuchen wollen …

PS: Diese Wetterlage bleibt noch bestehen …


Nachfolgend Details zu einer Prognose, die fast sicher noch stark ändert :-(

Samstag
**********
Allgemein: Wechselnd bis stark bewölkt und einige, teils kräftige Schauer oder Gewitter. In den Bergen mässiger Südwestwind.

Prättigau:
Vormittag sonnig, dann viel Bewölkung. Die Modelle bzw. die Member des C2 sind aber extrem unterschiedlich, viele machen schon um 14 Uhr Niederschlag (wahrscheinlich ist es später).

Westschweiz
Stark bewölkt. In den Bergen mässiger bis starker Südwestwind.

Südseite
Teilweise sonnig. In der zweiten Tageshälfte einige Schauer oder Gewitter. In den Bergen schwacher bis mässiger Südwestwind.


Sonntag

Föhnige Aufhellung am Alpennordhang am Vormittag, aber feuchte Luft aus Nord. Um 14 Uhr schon viele Wolken und rasch (15 Uhr) heftige Niederschläge (Gewitter mit Sturmböen). Nach aktueller Prognose ist das Risiko für Gewitter im BEO zu gross.
Im Prättigau sind die Gewitter später.

Prättigau:
Vormittag sonnig, dann viel Bewölkung, Niederschlag gegen Abend. Aber der Wind ist zu stark für einen Task.

Westschweiz
Am Vormittag wahrscheinlich noch teilweise sonnig, in der Folge bewölkt und gewitterhaft. Stellenweise kräftige Gewitter mit hohen Niederschlagsmengen.

Südseite
Meist stark bewölkt und vor allem in der zweiten Tageshälfte einige Schauer oder Gewitter.

Swiss Cup flex: Cancelled.

The weather is still generally characterised by low pressure, the forecasts are very !!! uncertain. Even on Friday evening, it's impossible to say when and where it will rain on Saturday...
On both days there will be SW winds at high altitudes, which should bring foehn-like clearings, but humid air will be brought to the Alps in the lower air layer.

With the current forecast (current, 8pm today...) I could imagine a certain chance for a flight on Saturday in Prättigau, but the SW wind at 2500 is too strong for a task at 25 km/h. In the BEO the wind is also too strong, plus lots of clouds.

The same again on Sunday, with a thunderstorm front moving over the BEO at around 3 pm (heavy thunderstorms!). The Prättigau is the best place again, but the chance of a task is small.

Because of that - I'm sorry - the weekend is cancelled. We can't announce in the evening whether and where we want to try a run the next day ...

PS: This weather situation is here to stay ...

Saturday

General: Variable to very cloudy and a few showers or thunderstorms, some of them heavy. Moderate south-westerly winds in the mountains.

Prättigau:
Sunny in the morning, then lots of cloud. The C2 models and members are extremely variable, with many predicting precipitation as early as 2 pm (probably later).

Western Switzerland
Very cloudy. Moderate to strong south-westerly winds in the mountains.

South
Partly sunny. A few showers or thunderstorms in the second half of the day. Weak to moderate south-westerly winds in the bise.


Sunday

Foehn-like clearing on the northern slopes of the Alps in the morning, but humid air from the north. Lots of clouds by 2 pm and heavy precipitation (thunderstorms with squalls) quickly (3 pm). According to the current forecast, the risk of thunderstorms in the BEO is too high.
The thunderstorms will be later in Prättigau.

Prättigau:
Sunny in the morning, then lots of cloud, precipitation towards evening. But the wind is too strong for a task.

Western Switzerland
Probably still partly sunny in the morning, then cloudy and thundery. In places heavy thunderstorms with high amounts of precipitation.

South
Mostly cloudy and some showers or thunderstorms, especially in the second half of the day.
