METEO

An extension of the Azores High has spread from the west to the Alpine region and is causing the air to dry out. A north-westerly high-altitude current will bring warm air to Switzerland. (MeteoSwiss). Still low air pressure (1016), 3hp north overpressure.

Initially 3-5/8 Cu; base initially around 2000m, clearing in the course of the morning and subsequent formation of 1-3/8 base 3000-3400m. Intermittent medium and high cloud fields.

Good thermals in the afternoon

About the thermals:
In the morning there is a more stable layer from 2200 - 3000m, but this is heated through. It also looks like some warm air advection. I'm not yet sure how these two facts will play out, but I think it's going to be a good day!
