First task of the 09 Saleve Swiss Cup

Reynald Mumenthaler 11. April 2009 Swiss Cup Saleve
It was quite a challenge to set a task because of the cirrus coming from south. Nevertheless, Patrick Roser and Martin Muller managed a nice and selective task of 35.7 km along Mount Saleve. Conditions were weak and pilots had to find the right compromise between flying fast (to avoid cirrus which were coming) and taking enough alitude to complete this speed run. At this game, Joel Debons was the best and won this 1st task in 55 min! 4 other pilots also managed to complete it.
Ranking:
1/ Joel Debons, Niviuk Icepeak 3
2/ Michael Maurer, Gin Gliders Boomerang 5
3/ Philippe Riboni, Gin Gliders Boomerang 6
4/ Jean-Pierre Oudot, Gin Gliders Boomerang 6
5/ Tim Bollinger, Gin Gliders Boomerang 6

Congratulations to all of them and especially to Tim who managed to complete his first official task at the 5th place.

The weather looks pretty good for the coming 2 days....we cross fingers to make sure the reality will follow the forecast:-)
