We had already rain in the evening and in the night. Thats why we woke up with very low cloud base and again there was high cloud cover on top of that. On the way to the takeoff the bus stopped and together with the MD, the task committee decided to cancel the day. The main reason was that there was rain forecasted later for the day. Main problem would be to get the pilots back down from the takeoff in case of rain, as the dirt roads would get really slippery and dangerous.
As soon as we headed back, the rain started.
Now most Swiss pilots are looking for some alternative activities. Some do work, go to the gym or exercise in drinking beer.
