The pressure distribution over Central Europe is flat. A high pressure ridge, whose axis shifts from France to the Alps during the course of the day, provides temporary stabilisation of the middle and higher air layers.

Early morning 0.5 gradient to 2000, from 11am 1, good thermals, somewhat dampened by slight warm air advection.

Formation of 1/8 Cu with base around 3000 m. In the course of the day possibly denser high cloud fields, which slow down the thermals somewhat.
